We are proud to be holding the 3rd ‘PANTRY PARTY’ in support of the incredible charity, Very Special Kids for their Piggy Bank Appeal.
What's the day about?
Following the remarkable success of the last two years events, the Pantry Party is once again on this year on Saturday 2nd September. It's all about a unique community event and fundraising for the Very Special Kids Charity as part of their September Piggy Bank Appeal.
The morning includes lots of free children’s activities including an animal farm, pony rides, face painting and a dunk tank. There will also be sporting skill activities, celebrity appearances, an auction and food for all the family.
It’s a wonderful way to bring the local community together, raise awareness and support a very worthy cause.
Saturday 2nd Sept 2017
10am - 12noon
The Pantry Party is a free event with all proceeds going to VERY SPECIAL KIDS.
About Very Special Kids and their Piggy Bank Appeal
Very Special Kids cares for children with life-threatening conditions by providing Victoria’s only children’s hospice and professional support services to families. They help more than 900 families across Victoria who have a child with a life-threatening condition with ongoing support from diagnosis all the way through to bereavement. Sadly, almost all the children they care for will not reach adulthood.
Very Special Kids cannot provide free of charge care for these children and families all on their own. It costs more than $7 million each year to operate VSK and they rely substantially on the generous support of the community at events like this.
The Piggy Bank Appeal runs throughout September and is a unique fundraising campaign that brings together people from all parts of the community to raise funds for Very Special Kids.
How can you help?
Come along on the morning of the 2nd September between 10am and 2pm and buy a sausage at the sausage sizzle, bid at the auction or donate into one of the collection pigs that will be carried around and if you can’t be there you can donate here.
